What does your company do?
On behalf of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, the Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems (NIAS) is a non-profit corporation leading the growth of the Nevada Autonomous Aerial Vehicle Industry through business teaming relationships, collaboration with primary research institutions, and helping enhance the UAS industry knowledge base in order to attract new and permanent business within the State of Nevada.

What is your role?
As the Business Operations Manager at NIAS, I have the following responsibilities:
• Accounting functions
• Implementation of SaaS for business and finance
• Website and social media management
• Email marketing campaigns
• Contract/Agreement review and support
• Flight data entry and flight operations support
• Attend economic development and UAS industry tradeshows and events

Where did you grow up and attend school?
I grew up in La Crescenta, California and I attended UNLV on a golf scholarship

What brought you to The Innevation Center?
NIAS moved into the Innevation Center in June 2016 and it has been an incredibly successful transition

How has technology changed your business?
Our company is constantly monitoring and recruiting tech companies in the UAV/Aerospace industry so I would say that technology is the core of what we do on a daily basis. Not only do we get to test new technology, we often times get to utilize it in our day to day operations.

What is your favorite local spot?
My wife and I are foodies so I would say that all of the local restaurants off the strip are our favorites, but we love spending time at Downtown Summerlin as well.
