Joshua Copeland
Co-founder and CTO

What is your role?
I’m the CTO and co-founder for Remote Dev Force, a Software Development Company available for hire.

What is your companies mission?
To provide clients outstanding communication and high quality code. We strive to keep security and business value first in mind for every line we write for our clients.

Where did you grow up and attend school?
I grew up in Las Vegas and graduated high school at 16 from an online charter school. I then pursued a career in real estate and a few years later earned my associates degree in Computer Science.

What brought you to Rob Roy’s Innevation Center?
The Innevation Center & Staff have been ultra mega supportive of local user groups which are the life blood of the tech community. The new people have a venue to learn from the best in a free and fun environment. Since I run the PHP Vegas User Group out of there, it just makes sense to work from such an outstanding facility with blazing fast internet. 😉

How has technology changed your business?
Back in the day, there were no standards. It was the wild west… Now things have settled down on standards & frameworks which is a great move towards commoditizing software. We strive to adopt any standards clients may have or advise them of industry standards.

What is your favorite local spot in Las Vegas?
If you’ve never been to Pinball Hall of Fame then you need to visit it ASAP!

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat?
You can find us @RemoteDevForce and my personal @OGProgrammer on twitter/instagram/facebook.

Who would you most like to have dinner with (dead or alive) and why?
Stanley Kubrick for various reasons like if he faked the moon landing.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Mind control because once you got that down, you’re good.

What is your go-to karaoke song?
Hotel California, Bohem- uhhh there are too many that came to mind, haha!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Say what you need to say and then listen.
