In 2014, Switch CEO and Founder Rob Roy worked with Intel to have the Cherry Creek Supercomputer awarded to UNLV. In 2013 Cherry Creek ranked as the 400th fastest supercomputer in the world on The Linpack Benchmark. Switch donated colocation, power and connectivity for Cherry Creek and ran a fiber loop from its data center campus to UNLV, putting the university on-net with Switch and making it the most connected university in the world.
